WHAT ? - Joint Kentucky / Alabama M.M. Degrees 2008

WHEN ? - Sat., Sept. 20, 2008 10 a.m.

WHERE ? - This year will be Hosted by Sunset Ldg.#915,F.&A.M. in Louisville, Ky.

Brethren,
If you have seen the Ky. Degree team put on a M.M.* degree then you know that it is really something to see.

If you have never seen one, then I strongly urge you to plan on attending this event. I promise you that you won't be disappointed. I still have a good laugh when I think of it.

Now for the Details,

In the past years the Ky. degree team has always came down to Alabama to put the degree on at Semmes Ldg.#878,F.&A.M. in Semmes, Al. But this year they have ask Alabama to return the favor and let them Host us at their Ldg. up in Louisville, Ky.

Semmes Ldg. has excepted their invitation and both Grand Lodges have agreed. The date of Dispensation has been set and all are in agreement on this event for 2008.

Brother Bobby Pitts, Secretary of Semmes Ldg.#878,F.&A.M. has been making plans to charter a coach for everyone's transportation convenience. He has came up with a figure of $100.00 per person round trip if he can get 55 Brothers who want to go. And I would like to say that, with gas prices soaring as they are today I think that is a very fair figure. (This is transportation only.) This will be done on a first come, first served accommodation.

The charter bus will leave Mobile on Fri., Sept. 19, 08. Everyone will have a reservation waiting at a motel in Louisville for a fair price. Sunset Ldg. has arranged for block reservations so everyone can stay together at the same place if they like.

Sat. morning Sept. 20, 08 Sunset Ldg.#915,F.&A.M. will serve everyone breakfast and the Degree work will start at 10 a.m. The Alabama Team will then return to Semmes after the two degrees are done.

IT IS THAT TIME AGAIN!

Time to nominate the Second Annual GCM Mason of the year!

In our first year for this award, you choose Brother Lewis A. Meyer as our Mason of the Year.



And here is how we will do it again:

1) Send an email to our webmaster,

2) Tell brother Bob who you wish to nominate, what is that brothers Lodge, and Bro. Bob will compile a list of all those nominated.

3) On September 30, 2008 Brother Bob will add up the number of nominations

and place a poll here for you to vote from the top five nominations.

4) On October 31, we will see who you voted for,

and the brother with the most votes

will be named the GulfCoastMasons.com Mason of the year!


An announcement will follow letting everyone know where the award presentation will be held.

The award is open to all Master Masons residing in the gulf coast region,

who are a member in good standing of an area Lodge.
